Last night, I went to one of the local entertainment venues, The Birchmere, to see one of my favorite Jazz/R&B/Hip-Hop groups, Robert Glasper Experiment. The Birchmere is a pretty casual venue, but being me, I felt like wearing this tutu. To dress it down, I topped it with my perennial favorite, this Gap denim jacket that I have had too many years to remember. To make the skirt even more appropriate for this performance, I wore this fabulous Strawberry Shortcake-inspired sweater from J Crew. (by way of Buffalo Exchange for only $4.50! Score!) To give myself some height and allow the skirt to fly, I wore my favorite over-the-knee boots from Ros Hommerson that I scored from Ebay last year. I felt so cute and so light, especially in a sea of Bodycon dresses, sky-high pumps, and long extensions. And no I did not feel like a cupcake…
