Every time I wear this color blue, I think about being in the Caribbean. Then I think about the song “Sailing” by Christopher Cross. Okay, I digress. Anywho, Mondays are “Casual Mondays” and I couldn’t be anymore casual! First of all, I have on jeggings (no matter what people say about skinny jeans/jeggings, us fuller figured women CAN wear them); a white shirt with ruffles at the collar and a pronounced cuff (I am a ruffle kind of girl), with a turquoise ribbed sweater over the shirt. I absolutely adore white shirts and I have countless ones, but I love to layer them with something over it to give it a little more oomph. But surprise – while this may look like two shirts, it is actually one! I love the layered look, but I hate the bulk of two shirts, so when I found this sweater with a ruffled collar and nice big cuffs, I fell in love! Add one of my signature flower/feather pins and voila, instant outfit. So this is how I take a jeans/white shirt/sweater combo and dress it up just a little more. Add a pair of trusty pewter metallic Tory Burch flats and a Michele watch, and you have added just a little more glam to an otherwise very plain outfit.
