Blouse: ASOS (size 14-no longer sold), Wool tweed skirt: Thrifted |
This shirt is actually a great yellowish-green color, but the sun was shining so brightly, it actually looks a little lemony. No complaints here though. I absolutely love the feminine details of this shirt – the Peter Pan collar, the slightly puffy shoulders, the slight asymmetrical hemline, the seaming across the bust. And I thought it was a great piece to wear as I begin to reintroduce Spring clothing back into my wardrobe. I am not a person who has a wardrobe that spans all seasons. I still pack up my summer clothes on Columbus Day, and pull out my cozy sweaters, coats, and boots. But I haven’t transitioned to Spring quite yet. The sun is deceiving and would have you believe that it is warming up, but it was barely 40 degrees today. So this top, paired with this thrift store treasure allowed my outfit to be as indecisive as Mother Nature.

I promised myself when I left private school I would never wear a Peter Pan collared shirt again.
I lied. |
