Leopard Vest: Charter Club (Macy’s)
Spring is almost here, and the weather was absolutely gorgeous today. It is still winter, so I placed my leopard puffy vest over this ensemble. |

All over the runway this season are ruffles and peplum skirts and shirts. I have had this skirt for 4 years, and I love it! Now I love a trend as much as the next person, but trends do not dictate when or how I wear something. This cute peplum skirt was as well appreciated 2 years ago as it is today. But sometimes things like this can be a little too cute. The Spouse says that I am “decidedly feminine” but what the hell does that mean? I know that I like ruffles and lace and bows in very small doses, but I always balance them with something a little more masculine, hence the necktie. A crisp, white shirt (freshly laundered and starched), black tights, and my trusty desert wedge boots all make this a little less frilly.
