If you live in the US, you know that this “polar vortex” has made dressing a complete nightmare. On this day, the weather was 26 Degrees fahrenheit, a virtual summer in these parts. To pull myself out of the winter funk I have been experiencing, I tried to dress in my two favorite things; African mudcloth print and leopard. Both harken back to the Motherland, and both, in my mind, conjure up images of a copper sun and the warmth it emanates. To create a bit of subtlety in what could have easily been print craziness, I topped this mudcloth print jersey skirt, with a trusty Black/Cream color block turtle neck I have had in the closet for years. My trusty Black tights help to anchor this printapalooza, and my neutral makeup with dark berry lips also lend an air of classiness that is much needed in this ensemble. I pulled out one of the fave coats this year, and decided that you can never have too much leopard. “Never too much, never too much, never too much…” Sorry, I was channeling Luther Vandross as I looked at this leopard on leopard. But it can never be too much can it?
Laughing at how ridiculous I am to be taking pictures in this freezing cold… |
